Quiggstatic Dance- Ecstatic Dance

Led by Self-Realization Coach, Meditation Teacher and DJ Quiggy – Quiggstatic dance is a playful, empowering, improv and mindfulness-infused ecstatic dance party! We’ll start our evening with some improv games to break the ice – creating a safe, silly container. Some mindfulness exercises (maybe some shaking or some qi gong) will bring us into more fully into our bodies and the present moment, leading us to the start of a musical journey that spans the sounds of experimental bass music, house, hip hop, disco, funky electronic dance music and everything in between (be ready for BASS!).

Ecstatic dance offers a safe space to connect with ourselves through music, separate from the heavily intoxicated and often vain nightlife culture that we typically dance in. This evening is designed to help you grow, express yourself through your body, clear out any stagnant energy holding you back, connect with like-minded music lovers, have fun and be free! We ask that you arrive on time, as the start of the evening is intentionally designed to create a comfortable, safe space for everyone to dance in – late arrivals will have to wait ’til the next one!

The evening is offered for a suggested donation between $10-$30, 25% of which goes to local organizations The Karma House supports. The space is limited to 16 dancers (unless it’s warm enough to open up the back door) – first come, first serve! You can secure your spot by sending a donation to Quiggy’s Venmo below:
